Hello, my friends!!! What a fantastic week this has been! So many orders coming in, and such great stuff!!! We are still having the 50% OFF SALE through the weekend, to try to clear out some stock to make space for all the new things. Every day I am putting more on sale, so every day's sale offerings are different.

The On The Dot papers are on the shelves!!! They are wonderful, with smaller prints, and are double-sided cardstock-weight papers. They are absolutely excellent for cards! We even have samples made so you can see the versatility of these papers. They would work well for punches, too, and as background papers they are fantastic. No really huge elements that you don't want to cover to ruin the look of the page. There are dots, stripes, doodle flowers, and regular floral papers.

ALL Basic Grey is now on sale, 50% off. We have the Obscure, Mellow, Stella Ruby, Perhaps, and Scarlet's Letter collections, with the papers, rub-ons, alpha stickers, die-cut monograms (both small and large), and die-cut shapes. People are loading up on this at such a great price, so if you're a Basic Grey fan, hurry in and get some while it's still here!

We also have the new Doodle Templates from Crafter's Workshop. The new shapes include postage stamp, pocket (that includes the "stitching" around it), diamond "scallop", butterfly, and new flourishes. These templates are great for doodling on your cards and papers, but remember they can be used as any other stencil and you can chalk, ink, and paint with them, too. At CHA we made an apron and recipe box using them and Pentel Paint Sticks. Fabulous outcome. Come see it, and think of the possibilities.

Guess what....???!!! I spoke with the owner of the company that has the Suzi Scrapper monkeys, and she says she has some left in her warehouse!!! She is sending me 6 purple, 6 pink and 3 green ones, so if you are one of the ones who didn't get a monkey yet, call me and I'll reserve one for you (first come, first served!). We were tickled to find this out. We also ordered more of the large Store N Spins in the new colors. And, she promised me the handles for the large ones should be here by May! They are not ready for distribution just yet. We can't wait!!!

I don't remember if I mentioned it already, but we also recently got in some Felt Glue that is PERFECT for your felt embellishments! It dries crystal-clear and you cannot see it through the felt at all! Great stuff!

I hope you all have an absolutely fantastic weekend, and look forward to seeing you in the store.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

CHA Orders Arriving!!!

We are already receiving some of our CHA orders, and have already sold out of the Crop-A-Dile Big Bite!!! They went really quickly at ScrapFest this past weekend (they arrived during ScrapFest). Of course, we have lots more on the way, so if you didn't get one, don't worry!

Amanda Blu papers and albums are in. Well, part of our order with them is in. We ordered A LOT of their papers and albums, and only about one-fifth of it came in so far. Beautiful pinks with lots of butterflies. Girly-girl paper with shoes, purses, etc. and yellow paper with paisleys, prince frog paper... You just have to come in and see it all.

And from SEI, we got more of the Jolie Chocolat line in, and quite a few of the velvet papers, both the solid colors and some of the printed ones. VERY nice!!! Also, word albums, which are really cool. Each letter is a separate "page", and when the book is closed, the letters fall one after the other, spelling out different words. Some of these are Family, Dream, Baby, Love, Friends, and a few others.

Dreamweaver Stencils sent our Memories Mist and Embossing Pastes. These were a real hit at ScrapFest, and I'm planning a class with them in March, so stay tuned. The Memories Mist is sort of like walnut ink where you spray it on your paper, but there is a specific technique to get an even, misted coverage with no blobs, and you can layer several colors and see each color separately. It doesn't get "muddy" when you mix colors, unlike some of the other mists. You can use these mists with stencils, and make gorgeous background pages for your scrapbooks, or fantastic cards. Most of these come with a matching cube of chalk ink. The embossing paste is how you achieve embossing on dark-colored papers. You know how hard it is to see through dark papers on your lightbox when you try to emboss, so this paste was made to use with regular embossing stencils, NO lightbox, NO heating. It is extremely easy to use and absolutely beautiful. I have samples at the store for you to see and feel. These pastes come in many different colors, including copper, silver, and gold metallic. This company also has really great metal stencils, which will be coming in a later shipment. I am already out of the few they sent with this one!!!

Stampabilities sent the chipboard shapes, which include fleur de lis and flowers. They also sent more BLING!!! There is this really nice Diva bling sticker with a crown that I absolutely love. They are less expensive than some other companies' bling, but I believe just as beautiful.

We also got in the EZ Cutter knife and stencils. It is similar to the Coluzzle in that you use a swivel knife with their shape templates, but unlike Coluzzle, the templates are separate and can be taken apart. The set is held together with a small post that you can unscrew to separate the templates. There are several different templates, and the knives cut very smoothly.

Our Pioneer album order came in, too, today (we were absolutely inundated with orders yesterday and today, but who's complaining?!) and we have the new Snapload binding albums, and the larger, 12"x15" and 11.75"x14" albums. We have had a lot of requests for these larger albums lately and we now have a nice assortment of them in, in several different colors.

The new brads are in, too!!! Adorable little birds, paint brushes and paint cans, a good assortment of arrows in different sizes and colors, stick men (you have GOT to see these, they are TOO cute!), Bunny Crossing signs, really pretty trees--very different from what we've seen before, really cute graduation caps, little green worms with faces, large pink princess crowns.

The Retrospect order came in, too, with Page Managers, Storage Envelopes, Paper Folders, and totes.

Also, the Ultimate Stacker bins are in again, the red and blue stacking embellishment bins. They fit all sorts of things, even cat-eyes!

We got another embellishment organizer that is really nice. It is the Stow and Go Quad, which is four columns of clear plastic round cups that have attached lids that snap and lock into place in the holder. You can pick up this organizer and shake it around and nothing is going to fall out! Come try it for yourself! They are fantastic!

Well, that's all I can remember at this point. I'm kinda numb from putting away everything from ScrapFest and all the orders at the same time. Lucky for us we didn't have much to bring back from ScrapFest! We had an outstanding show, with probably double the sales that we have had in the past. We must be doing something right! Thank you, to all of you who visited us during the show. We hope to see you in the store, to show you even more treasures.

Oh, I almost forgot. Felix is having a Post-CHA 50% off sale on selected products (including ALL Basic Grey and some Bazzill cardstock) until Saturday. We need to make space for our new finds, so if there was a paper or embellishment you had your eye on but never got around to getting, come in and stock up now! It just might be on sale!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Heading Home...

Well, Felix and I are in Texas already, and should be home by Saturday. We are exhausted from the long drive, but very pumped up about all our finds. Emery flew in yesterday and he had the store open today. He was so busy he didn't get a chance to even talk to us at all during the day! I know a lot of you are anxious to find out what goodies we've gotten, and I look forward to posting them as they come in. I may even be convinced to let you in on a few of them ahead of time. I miss the store, and I miss all of you. I'll be so glad to be home! See you all soon!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

2nd Day at CHA!!!

Here you can see Emery and I with the Purple Cows. They are quite playful and fun people to be around. They have newer, updated trimmers that work better than before, and even a small trimmer now.
We found more fun stuff, and we have some great surprises for you. We actually made it through both floors today, and are going back again tomorrow. We have lots of catalogs to go through tonight, and will place a bunch more orders tomorrow. Emery has a really good deal in the works right now that I think people will love if it goes the way he wants. But you know Emery, he usually gets what he wants, and this one will be great.
Today we ran into the Scrapbook Diva! our long time friend and mega-scrapbook star! Danielle is the best! Also, we ran into Liz from Simply Scrappin' from Lafayette! She told me she had no trouble spending a lot of money! hahaha. We are having so much fun, miss you all.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

First Day at CHA

Our first day at CHA was exhausting, to say the least, but we found some really fantastic, fun new products and some absolutely gorgeous papers. I know you will all love the things we found. I got to see Dee Gruenig in person (she's really nice in person, too!) and Emery got to see Tim Holtz again, demonstrating alcohol inks in the Ranger booth. Woo hoo! Lots of fun. Will update you more later on our second day here.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

CHA Winter 2008

Tim Holtz' "Distress-A-Palooza" class was amazing! We made a wonderful mosaic mirror using all of the distress line products, and really learned A LOT!!! Emery and I had a fantastic time and even got a picture of us with Tim, and he autographed the backs of our mirrors!!! It was an EXTREMELY fast-paced class, and I am proud to say Emery and I stayed up with Tim and got everything finished in the short time allotted. A lot of times projects don't get finished in classes and the intention is to finish it later, but it seems it never is finished. Not this time!!!

Most of the CHA Show seems to be made up of Scrapbooking and Papercrafting, so the three of us will be VERY busy the next few days. But not to worry, we've already discovered a bunch of really cool, exciting new products for you, and can't wait to get them in. And yes, orders have ALREADY been placed for some!

More news tomorrow. Until next time, happy scrapping!

Have You Heard....???!!!

Yep, it's TRUE... Scrappersaurus Mandeville is on the horizon! We will have a store in both Metairie and Mandeville very soon, and we're very excited about it! We'll keep you updated as things progress, and let you know our Grand Opening date as soon as we have it confirmed.

Felix and I are in Anaheim, California and are ready for CHA! We drove here because I have a really bad sinus/ear infection that just won't clear up and I can't fly with it. I've done that before and it was excruciatingly painful the entire flight. I didn't want to go through that again, so we drove. Emery is flying out tomorrow to meet us, and Emery and I will be attending the TIM HOLTZ DISTRESSAPALOOZA workshop at CHA!!! We finally get to meet Tim in person, and we are really looking forward to it. We were very lucky to be able to get into this sold-out workshop. We'll let you know how it goes.

If you have any last-minute requests or thoughts of things you want us to look for or order while here at CHA, please e-mail us at Scrappersaurus@Yahoo.com. I'll try to blog again tomorrow and let you know about the class with Tim Holtz.

Until next time, happy scrapping!
